Located at the southern tip of Miami Beach, South Pointe is a 17-acre park with walking trails, grassy knolls, and sweeping ocean views. The zone has a playground with elements of water and a dog park. There are lots of seats across the park, and there's a variety of art and light sculptures all over the place. 

The park is located at the southernmost point of Miami Beach. The entrance to the park is open, and if you're coming by car, it's 1 Washington Avenue.

The South Pointe Pier rises out into the Atlantic Ocean and is a popular fishing spot. The 450-foot-long pier also features bait-cutting and fish-washing stations, reclaimed fishing line bins, and more seats for additional ocean vantage points. 

One of the attractions of South Pointe, in addition to the beautiful beach, is the walking promenade that runs along the river, which is the primary thoroughfare for watercraft entering and exiting the Port of Miami and marinas. The Cutwalk is a perfect spot to go on a stroll and enjoy some of the most striking landscapes the city has to offer.

Midway across the Cutwalk is the Smith and Wollensky Steakhouse, fine dining with a beautiful view. It's a perfect way to unwind, sip a cocktail, and watch the scenery and activity on the channel. Or you can proceed to the west and turn for the marina. You're going to run into Monty's, which, like Coconut Grove's equivalent, has amazing views of yachts and watercraft. Another perfect place to rest. Or swing with Joe's Stone Crabs on the way out for a little gourmet self-indulgence.

The park is a big playground with a lot of leisure equipment. The grounds have been beautifully landscaped with gently sloping slopes, lots of shrubs and flowers, and walking paths that pass through them. It's perfect for cycling and jogging. Bicycles and skateboards are permitted on paved walkways, but not on hilly areas. Besides a lot of green space, there's a playground for kids, a jungle gym and all, plus water sprayers if it gets too humid.

South Pointe is Miami Beach's only off-leash park. Unlike other Bark Parks in the region, there are NO dog enclosures, only leash-free enclosures are permitted in the designated off-leash dog area on the western side of the park at predetermined hours.

Follow the paths to the east and take you to the sand dunes that go down to the magnificent beach. In facilities and services, this is one of the most 'fully-equipped' beaches in the region. There are lifeguards, bathrooms and toilets, a snack bar, beach chairs and parasols, picnic tables, tennis, parasailing, a fishing pier, and a myriad of water sports.
